Project Case Study
The Southern Mining Area (SMA) is located at the perimeter of the Olympic Dam underground mine. To allow development and sustain production levels according to the 5YR plan, primary ventilation is a particularly critical element to support development and production activities. Adequate ventilation is essential in providing a safe operating environment for all underground personnel, to remove heat, silica, diesel particulates, and particularly radon gas within the underground Uranium mine.
Mine Tech Engineering supplied the fabrication and installation of the structural, mechanical and piping components of both Raise bore 37 and 54 and have also been awarded the next 2 Raise bore 41 and 52.
